Nothing is more boring than perfection. Intuition
outweighs planning. Fascination beats correctness.
The attraction lies in starting and seeing what emerges. Tireless. Undaunted. Immediately. In dealing with colors and shapes, figures and textures. Layer by layer.
Adding. Taking away. Going over it. Seeing further.
Abstract figures and landscapes. Fragments of scraps, barks and leaves, garbage and gauze, stones and pieces.
Found objects. Ash, charcoal, chalk, wax.
On paper and canvas. Mostly different.

It's about exploring and combining opposites. Overcoming boundaries and discovering new things by playing with different materials. Alternating bright and earthy tones and different surface textures combine to create a powerful expression and generate tension and depth.

Born in 1964 in Würzburg. Grown up in Karlsruhe
Studied Marketing and Organization at the University of Mannheim
Over three decades of professional experience in marketing communications:
Consulting, development, strategy and conception of communication solutions
2001-2024 founder and director of an advertising agency in Mannheim
During leisure time phases continuous occupation with painting, printmaking,
photography, object art and several kinds of mixed media techniques
Since fall 2024 self-employed as a freelance artist in Mannheim Wallstadt
